Dr. Michelle

Dr. Michelle has been tutoring student in English and creative writing for over 10 years. She has taught at local tutoring centers in both online and in-person settings. She also works as a freelance editor. Dr. Michelle has a Ph.D. in sociology from U.C. Berkeley.

Mr. Boming

Teacher Boming is currently pursuing a B.A. in Communication Studies at San Jose State University, graduating in December 2025. He has earned numerous awards in collegiate debate, including 2nd Place Top Novice Speaker at the NCFA Spring Championships, multiple medals in IPDA Debate, and top placements in impromptu speaking across regional and national tournaments.

Mr. David

Mr. David began his debate journey as a student, earning numerous national awards and recognition. David has also directed highly successful speech and debate programs at Top priviate schools, where his students consistently excelled both academically and competitively. David holds a BA and MA in Communication Studies.

Mr. Vincent

Vincent is the #1 ranked Congressional debater in California and #5 in America. On the teaching side, he founded his nonprofit Inspire, and coached his first student to becoming a National Finalist.

Ms. Alyssa

Ms. Alyssa is a credentialed teacher with a Master's degree in Education. She has extensive experience teaching in both public and private elementary schools, and specializes in designing engaging, age-appropriate lessons that strengthen young students' reading, writing, and communication skills

Ms. Chen

Ms. Chen is a local high school AP Mandarin teacher with over ten years of experience teaching AP Mandarin.

Ms. Emily

Ms. Emily is college student with major in communication studies. She especially enjoys the art of interpretive speaking and has won two national speech awards. She has a passion for teaching and loves encouraging others to develop their speaking skills!

Ms. Grace

Grace graduated with a B.A. with Honors in English literature from Stanford University. Her diverse teaching background spans SAT/ACT reading and writing preparation, college admissions mentorship for high school students, and foundational literacy tutoring for elementary students. On campus, she was extensively involved in editorial and publishing work.

Ms. Jesse

Ms. Jesse holds an M.A. in English from the University of Maine and a B.A. in English from UCLA. With experience teaching at Art of Problem Solving and serving as a Program Services Specialist at Gavilan College’s Tutoring & Writing Centers, she specializes in guiding students through all stages of the writing process - from building strong vocabulary and grammar foundations to mastering revision and critical reflection. She has extensive expertise in academic and essay writing, helping students develop the communication skills needed for success in school and beyond.

Ms. Kristy

Ms. Kristy is a dedicated lecturer at Menlo College with over 20 years of experience in teaching and tutoring. She specializes in writing instruction, helping students develop strong skills in composition, grammar, and academic writing.

Ms. Megan

Ms. Megan is a credentialed teacher currently working in a local public school, with four years of classroom teaching experience. She holds a Master’s degree in education and is passionate about supporting student growth through engaging, standards-based instruction.

Ms. Sarah

Ms. Sarah earned her BA in Anthropology with a minor in Professional Writing from UC Santa Barbara, after completing an AA in Communication Studies and a Certificate in Journalism from Foothill College. She works at Silicon Valley International School, specializing in English, History, French, and Anthropology.

Ms. Schubert

Ms. Schubert is a credentialed teacher with more than 20 years of teaching experience in Bay Area public schools. She brings deep expertise in classroom instruction, curriculum development, and student engagement

Ms.Laura

Ms. Laura began her career in 1997 as a teacher at a local elite private school where she taught Language Arts for 12 years. During that time, she developed her own creative writing, poetry, spelling, and reading comprehension programs for enrichment workshops. Many of Ms. Laura‘ s students have gone on to excel in high school Advanced Placement English courses, complete college application essays with ease, and write papers confidently and ahead of deadlines in college.

Ms. Melissa is a credentialed teacher with 19 years of teaching experience in Bay Area public schools. She holds a Master’s degree in education and brings deep expertise in classroom instruction, curriculum development, and student engagement
